Their legs alone are taller than many humans. fully grown males can be anywhere from 16 to 20 feet tall.They can run as fast as 35 miles an hour over short distances, or cruise at 10 mph over longer distance. giraffe’s spots are much like human fingerprints. No two individual giraffes have exactly the same pattern.the spots darken as the giraffe ages so the darkest spots are the oldest.

Thomson's Gazelles Are named after explorer Joseph Thomson and are sometimes referred to as "tommies" They have narrow habitat preferences, preferring short grassland with dry, sturdy foundation They do, however, migrate into tall grassland and dense woodland.They are mixed feeders.In the wet seasons, they eat mainly fresh grasses, but during the dry seasons, they eat a more varied diet particularly foliage from bushes, forbs, and clovers.their major predators are cheetahs which are able to attain higher speeds, but gazelles can outlast them in long chases and are able to make turns more speedily. Sometimes they are also chased by lions and hyenas but the gazelles are faster and more agile. A noticeable behaviour of Thomson's gazelles is their bounding leap, known as stotting or pronking.

So you don't want to mess with him even though he eats an herbivorous diet his thick protective skin is formed from layers of collagen. Today's illustration begins another series. Our safari begins with Zebra.the zebra is the zebra of the animal world. That doesn't make sense you say? Seems like it makes perfect sense to me.Their stripes come in different patterns, unique to each individual. They are generally social animals that live in small groups or large heards. Unlike their closest relatives, horses zebras have never been domesticated.
